Another picture of Pu Chi Shi temple.

Mutual with my friend Gurjeet call-sign (IFAS 55). He was PIC during this flight.

Sandakan Air Traffic Control Tower . Sorry . i have no idea what was showing in the first monitor. I guess those are the switches to turn on/off those light on the runway. I guess the second monitor showing the surface wind condition .

Yeah this one interesting... this is the RADIO STACKS. by turning those knob, u can select frequency you want.
BOX1 BOX 2 (top and below on the left hand side) 123.20 APPROACH frequency. Sandakan only used one frequency.
BOX1 BOX2 (right hand side) 109.30 ILS(instrument landing standart) 114.00 VSN( VOR Sandakan, we need to select this frequency to navigation. It will show our radial or DME (distance measure equipment)
The BOX below is transponder. Switching this on, ur aircraft will appear in the RADAR SCREEN. this equipment is compulsory for commercial aircraft which fitted with TCAS(traffic alert and collision avoidance system)

Fuel Cap on the right wing.

Bahala Island

PPL licent (private pilot licent) this licent allow u to fly and buy an aircraft BUT according to the airlaw you're not allowed to earn money commercially.

Sandakan Terminal Building it's looks small. But, Staff working here are so nice and polite. specially ATC, i learnt alot from them.

Cute Drawing, HUZAINI my room mate draw this on the white board during lunch time.

Finally, i had flown 14 hours on PA28-161. This aircraft gradually become more comfortable for me and of course i enjoy flying with it. 13th of May (YESTERDAY) was our hanger's opening ceremony, we made a crash training i was not told to join the aircraft during the training because i'm too fat. haha, my size or weight are not convinient to join. but it's fine for me, i rather sitting inside the hanger. It was so hot yesterday. let's straight to the point, Capt Htun performed a normal landing and declare MAYDAY. Actually distress call should be made before we landed on the ground. Once pilot declared a distress call , ATC will inform FIRE FIGHTER and AMBULANCE. Firstly, fire fighter will be ready on the holding point until the aircraft touch down it begins to roll until the end of the runway. At this time , Fire fighter will directly following behind the aircraft with high speed. i will show u a bird strike video later.

14th of May, i flew mutual flight with one of my friend FITRI. After he landed , i change to the left seat (CAPTAIN SEAT) :) took off again. Today something occur during our exercise. My classmate James he flew with Capt Saw. Their BOX1 machanical problem, all station at Sandakan frequency was trying to contact with them. But, still finally they manage to change to BOX 2 everything back to normal again.

I tried once before an ALTERNATOR FAILURE during my navigation solo flying with "EAGLE-150b aircraft i flown before i get my PPL license. Read my 1st post you will know" . I was so panic , suddenly a red light POP OUT. it shows an alternator failure. what is alternator ? when the engine started, current will be supply by an alternator. it's work similar with an alternator in your car.

The First thing came out my mind was to reset the circuit breaker
but it doesn't work. No worry, aircraft has battery itself but i know i doesn't lasting for very long. I try to reduce my electrical load and plan to head back to the airfield. I switched off my anti-collision lights and strobe lights but avionic master remain open i told the tower i had an alternator failure. Told them to expect my radio will not function later.

Tower copied. I told them my current position and Estimated time arrival to the airfield and of course request priority to land. They cleared me everything and asked me to maintain visually on ground and back to the airfield. GOSH, it was cloudy, i was operation at 4000 Ft. and i lost one of the most important instrument during the alternator failure. Without it , i have no confident to enter a cloud. It's the AH(artificial horizon). Luckily my instructors was flying dual flight with my classmate. Same route , he was ahead of me but he operated at 5000ft. i made a conversation with him through the radio. he told me to reset the circuit breaker again. He assumed me did not reset it properly because i was panic. i tried for my second attempt. That time, red warning light gone and everything back to normal. PHEW, i told tower everything backs to normal, and will heading back to the airfield. when i landed, i was so happy. My instructor told me not to panic next time. i answer him, i will not choose to have any problem. NO NEXT TIME . haha !
