Greetings. I've skipped lots of post due to my laziness. Never mind , I'll summarize it date by date if i still remember what I've done :)
21th Of May- As Usual .. attend classes in the morning and flying after lunch . Today, i suppose to fly 1 hour mutual and 1 hour solo but something changed and occur during our training. 1P.M sign aircraft technical log and authorization sheets. Me and my room mate HUZAINI done all those pre-flight checks and finally line up runway 08 with 9M-APV at 1:20P.M. I was PIC during the first flight and Huzaini will be PIC after me. During my flight, everything goes normal. just the fuel pressure was slightly below than what v used to fly with, but it still within a GREEN ARCH in the indicator. As i said, after my flight done Huzaini changed seat with me on the ground. We took off as usual . after passing 300ft Flaps up, landing lights off and fuel pump off. 500ft right turn out and proceed to our training area BOVI we been told to climb 2000ft initially so we comply with ATC instructions. During climb, we check our engine instrument and found out fuel pressure are lower then my flight and almost to the critical zone. Huzaini ask me to switch on the fuel pump. PA28-161 have 2 fuel pump 1 one driven by engine and another one is electrically driven also what we call an emergency fuel pump. The electrical fuel pump was switched on. we can see the fuel pressure coming up again. Huzaini asked me to switch off the elecrical fuel pump because prolong of the usage may damage the engine driven fuel pump. I called out fuel pump off check fuel pressure. Huzaini said it's coming down again, let's go back. GOOD IDEA i said. he request rejoin and head back to the airport with fuel pump on. After we land, we called our maintainance JAZE to check what happen with the aircraft. What happen to our aircraft ? ask me personally.
22th of May- Today schedule says that me and FITRI go night flying and of course with instructors. 1 bad news for us is 9M-APV's (the aircraft i flew on 21th of May) alternator are not serviceable and she was grounded. So after morning classes, we can go back to our so called hostel and have some rest. i took a long nap was about 4 hours, woke up 4PM and head to the hanger at 5PM. Fitri go for the 1st sorty of night flying today. i request my instructor to join the flight as a passenger behind and take video. My CAM skills are sucks anyway show u the video below.

My 20th Birthday
Happy Birthday Lucas.
Everyone was asking where am i going to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, my birthday was Tuesday. Not a fine day for party, everyone needs to wake up early morning the next day specially me. But, it's still fine, i went to Black Jack last Saturday night with some of my Sandakan's gang and Felix my course mate. THANKS GUYS !! I HAD LOTS OF FUN THAT NIGHTS.
19th of May. My Actual birth-date. i woke up early in the morning because i need to attend ground class. I saw lots of Text Message in my inbox. i had to said again, Thanks for those wishes. i appreciate every single word. After class, Felix, James and I plan went to dinner at Pizza Hut. After Dinner, we went Jesselton Cafe because Felix need to meet his high school classmate. It was heavy rain that night. They laught at me and said i'm stingy. WHY ? only chinese will know why specially HAKKA.
It will be a unforgetful birthday for me. I did something very extraordinary that night. let's take a look on the picture below.
20th of May, Woke up early morning again , attend class in the morning after lunch. headed to airport, our school's hanger. i signed the Tech log and Authorisation's sheet and walked toward to the aircraft and starts our pre-flight check. Again, 1 hour mutual and 1 hour solo. i'm bored of it already. I'm waiting for night flying and navigation cross country. i've saw our 5 hours duration flight plan.

16th of May
These are what we found overhead us. The red lights is used for night flying.
If wearing a headset is not comfortable for you, switch it to the speakers. Any ATC instructions and communication from station to station are able to listen from here if u activate the speaker.
Cockpit layout from 9M-APR. It's looks nicer than 9M-APV. So, Where's the BOX1 ? read my previous post then you'll know why .
Next Monday we will continue our ground class again because we had burst both aircraft hours.

14th of May
Yeah this one interesting... this is the RADIO STACKS. by turning those knob, u can select frequency you want.
BOX1 BOX 2 (top and below on the left hand side) 123.20 APPROACH frequency. Sandakan only used one frequency.
BOX1 BOX2 (right hand side) 109.30 ILS(instrument landing standart) 114.00 VSN( VOR Sandakan, we need to select this frequency to navigation. It will show our radial or DME (distance measure equipment)
The BOX below is transponder. Switching this on, ur aircraft will appear in the RADAR SCREEN. this equipment is compulsory for commercial aircraft which fitted with TCAS(traffic alert and collision avoidance system)
PPL licent (private pilot licent) this licent allow u to fly and buy an aircraft BUT according to the airlaw you're not allowed to earn money commercially.
Cute Drawing, HUZAINI my room mate draw this on the white board during lunch time.
14th of May, i flew mutual flight with one of my friend FITRI. After he landed , i change to the left seat (CAPTAIN SEAT) :) took off again. Today something occur during our exercise. My classmate James he flew with Capt Saw. Their BOX1 machanical problem, all station at Sandakan frequency was trying to contact with them. But, still finally they manage to change to BOX 2 everything back to normal again.
I tried once before an ALTERNATOR FAILURE during my navigation solo flying with "EAGLE-150b aircraft i flown before i get my PPL license. Read my 1st post you will know" . I was so panic , suddenly a red light POP OUT. it shows an alternator failure. what is alternator ? when the engine started, current will be supply by an alternator. it's work similar with an alternator in your car.
The First thing came out my mind was to reset the circuit breaker but it doesn't work. No worry, aircraft has battery itself but i know i doesn't lasting for very long. I try to reduce my electrical load and plan to head back to the airfield. I switched off my anti-collision lights and strobe lights but avionic master remain open i told the tower i had an alternator failure. Told them to expect my radio will not function later.
Tower copied. I told them my current position and Estimated time arrival to the airfield and of course request priority to land. They cleared me everything and asked me to maintain visually on ground and back to the airfield. GOSH, it was cloudy, i was operation at 4000 Ft. and i lost one of the most important instrument during the alternator failure. Without it , i have no confident to enter a cloud. It's the AH(artificial horizon). Luckily my instructors was flying dual flight with my classmate. Same route , he was ahead of me but he operated at 5000ft. i made a conversation with him through the radio. he told me to reset the circuit breaker again. He assumed me did not reset it properly because i was panic. i tried for my second attempt. That time, red warning light gone and everything back to normal. PHEW, i told tower everything backs to normal, and will heading back to the airfield. when i landed, i was so happy. My instructor told me not to panic next time. i answer him, i will not choose to have any problem. NO NEXT TIME . haha !

11th Of May.
Monday again. Finally, Another NEW OLD (SECOND HAND but still seems like NEW AIRCRAFT for us) Piper Warrior PA28-161 (9M-APR) had arrived Sandakan last Saturday. Which is "FERRY" by Capt Thien and Capt Saw from SUBANG to SANDAKAN . They crossed over SOUTH CHINA SEA. Try to Imagine that 4 hours above the sea. have no ground fixture or landmark somemore flying with a single engine aircraft. Any machanical malfunction occur, the only way to solve it Dictching if the aircraft failed to restart.
Our Flying schedule are going smoothly now, just a little bit behind the schedule. Hopefully we will able to catch-up. At the moment, BATCH 3 students starts their flying phase now. It reminds me our initial flying phase Happy&Sad memories. I still remember my first solo flight was back on 21st of January 2009. It was my first step to become a pilot. Ok Ok .. Enough with those old memory back to the point. Today, i woke up at 7:30am and attend a briefing after breakfast with Felix. Our academy's CEO Capt Syed informed us there will be a CRASH EXERCISE on Wednesday after that it will have small opening ceremony for our new hanger. REPORTERS and "DATUK DATUK" will come for the ceremony so Capt Syed want all of us to dress up ourself tidy and trim our hair.
Whas is crash exercise ? At the beginning of the briefing i was "BLUR" what is crash exercise ?
Crash exercise: perform a normal landing and stop the aircraft at the end of the runway. PIC then declare an emergency EXP: engine on fire. At that time, students and instructors had BEEN TOLD to trapped inside the aircraft. If there's any aircraft made a distress call. Fire Fighter and Ambulance have to do their rescue works. So, as normal procedures, FIRE TRUCKS and AMBULANCE will starts their rescue works. These to make sure everybody here know how to react during the critical situation.
After the briefing , i went to hanger with felix car then drank a glass of NESCAFE ICE in the terminal coffee shop. Before 3 o'clock i prepared myself . 3:30 i got airborn alone and do some maneuvers at the training area. 4:30 park the aircraft and shut down the engine. This is how i spend my time. BORING LeH~~ . Nevermind i Post some COOL picture on my next post .

5th of May
My buddy "FELIX" i have no idea what he laughing there. Cos i can't hear the conversation between him and Capt.Htun.
Those river are looks similar to each other a lots curve
and the hightway called Sim-Sim highway.
6 thirty morning , Saiful called me and woke me up. He told me, he's on his way to pick me and Felix to the airport. No one inform us that we need to wake up early to the airport because we been told that we need to continue our ground class according to our time table.
We rush as fast as possible to airport. Finally, 7:40 we got airborne. Felix asked me to be his CAMERA MAN. I took some picture and video clip for him on his flight. Pictures above are taken by me. Weather today was not pretty, less visibility.
After Felix landed , i took over the control (we change our seat) :P. So at that time , he took video for me. Actually i was suppose to fly 2 hours today . 1 hour P1us(with instructor) but I'm Pilot In Command (PIC) and another 1 hour will be a mutual flight with Felix . Me myself will be PIC also . But only 1 flight can make it today because we need to attend class .
HERE , LANDING VIDEO , took by Felix .
