Starts flying on Monday

Few days already i didn't write my blog but just simply post some videos. Today as usual, woke up early in the morning and went to class. Attended Human Performance & Limitation (HPL), Loading and balance. After Lunch break, we carry on Theory Of Flight and Performance A . School had declared our DCAT and UKCAA2 exam will be held on 24th and 25th of June.

Performance A is one of the difficult subject which i worried about. Hopefully i will able to cope it. One of the subject is bored Electric, i don't like this subject HA HA. After class dismissed, Flight Operation Officer told us we are able to start our flying again on next Monday and the AVGAS will be arrive on this Saturday. I was happy to heard that, so next Monday onward our program will be flying in the morning and attend ground classes in the afternoon .. TIRED EXHAUST FATIGUE STRESS. Now , i will pray for the nice weather during our flying phases hope everything go smoothly.

Head back hostel, changed all my cloths and lying on the bed.... i'm too tired. Don't know my spirit or my soul will be able to withstand the coming days or not?

Actually i was planning to go back Kota Kinabalu, i miss my family and my buddies. i miss my grandmom cooks. it's delicious, believe it or not ? tasting is believing ..... ask Felix and Gurjeet . haha.

Aviation English (avoiding miscommunication)

Pilots who flying international route today should have Pass the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aviation English. Which is make sure these pilots who fly international route had reached certain English standard.

Aviation English for pilots focuses on key language concepts, aviation vocabulary and the oral skills necessary to improve airlines safety, both on the ground and in the air. These new standards require both aviation and general English language proficiency, with an emphasis on oral skills.

So, we are going to seat ICAO level 4 before flying the twin engine aircraft in our course (MOST PROBABLY). i will show u a video clip, why every pilots who flying international route have should reach certain English standart. Using correct and precise standart phraseology are able to avoiding incident and accidents due to misunderstanding caused by the use of non-standart phraseology. Different races have different accent or slang when they speak which is caused human being's mother tongue.

Monday again

Greeting guys,
It's Monday again, just like RECYCLING our life weekly. Sadly, no flying program in this week due to insufficient AVGAS 100LL (aviation fuel for piston engine) to proceed our training, so we need to be patient for few weeks. I have no idea why the fuel delayed or probably the price of the fuel are variable. I woke up 10 o'clock in the morning today, i suppose to sleep until 12 o'clock because no one inform us to attend morning classes. House next door is under renovation it was so noisy specially the sounds of DRILLING.

Then to the toilet, washed my face and had a 1st leak of the day :P . After that, log in my Messenger and Facebook those. Time passed slowly today because i got nothing to do in the morning . Still eventually it's time to lunch, my bacth mate and me attend the class after lunch as usual. Met Capt ZAW SHIN at the class today . He is one of the most experience pilot in the world i guess . he had logged 29,000 flying hours with 40 years flying experience. He will teach us Theory Of Flight , Loading and Balance , Performance A and Human Performance & Limitation. Sooner he will take place to be our Chief Simulator Instructor. We should learn a lot of skills and knowledge from him . SALUTE !!

Class dismissed around 4:45PM . our school's CEO knocked our door and came in our class. He did a short brief to us. It was a bit Stress and Excited when we heard the news which was the PLAN that they made. He told us that, we will finish our SINGLE ENGINE's training around end of July with DCAT and Ca2 paper that's really stress for me . Flying phase will be start on 7 morning and ground class will be starts from 4 o'clock until 6 o'clock . Beside that, he told us EXPECT there's class on Saturday . In the end , Academy planned to graduate us around 15th of November . But, still got lots of conflict in my mind, i dun think they can make it. Anyway, the news had motivate all of us. We are well prepared to againts the challenge !!

5 thirty nearly evening ,i changed my basketball's jersey and shoe, went to play basketball with my friends at "TAMAN" basketball court. As i said, we are chasing the time in order for us to graduate earlier so we need to be physically and mentally fit.

Let's take a look some of the video i want to share with u . One of my friend asked me, what will be happen if you are flying very closer to a jumbo jet infront of u ?
The result is .... try to imagine that with the video clip below !

Another Tired Day ...

Greetings guys .
As usual , woke up 7 thirty this morning. Prepared myself before going to airport .

9 o'clock . Met up my instructor Capt Htun . He did a short brief and told me to prepare myself for solo . Was a bit shocked as i said i only flew 2 hours on this type before. After the brief was done . me and some of my fellow friends went to Air Traffic Control Tower with Capt Htun to get permission of our new NAVIGATION route. Air Traffic Control Tower built at least 5 stores tall in order for those air traffic controller to get a better visual on ground traffic and traffic on the air as well. Air Traffic Controller is one of the most stressful job in the world. You can imagine that . hundreds or thousands of SOULS controlled by them.

11o'clock . it's time to get into the aircraft . The flight was a bit special today. Actually i supposed to fly with my instructor only. 2 of my fellow batch mate requested to join us on board. and our instructors allowed.

After obtained all clearance were given. we depart to our training area "same place same height " one of my batch mate JAMES he took some of the video on board. THANKS JAMES.

Did some instrument turning practice . After that .. We made 2 landing .. Touch and go .

"Touch and go" means after touch down on the ground .. we apply full power again to perform take off .

2 landing was done , we taxied to the dispersal area to vacate my friends and instructor. This time I will be flying alone (same training area same height and 1 touch and go which means 2 landing). Practicing Circuit and landing will improve our Take off - Landing skills .

About 2 o'clock .. i stationary the aircraft on ground and leave the hanger (aircraft indoor parking area). James picked me up for lunch .... JAMES JAMES . can u blue tooth me the video clip please ... haha ~!

Snakes escape on Qantas flight

An Australian airliner was grounded after four baby pythons escaped from their container in the aircraft's hold.

The snakes, just six inches long, were among 12 Stimson's pythons being flown from Alice Springs to Melbourne.

At first it was thought the reptiles may have been eaten by the other snakes, but this was discounted after they were weighed on landing.

Passengers were transferred to other aircraft. The jet was fumigated but the snakes' bodies are yet to be found.

"They're not endangered so a decision was made to fumigate...if these snakes turn up they will be very much dead snakes," David Epstein of Qantas said.

It is not known how the snakes - which can grow up to a metre in length - escaped from their container.

They were being transported in the cargo hold of the aircraft in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes.

The passenger aircraft returned to service on Wednesday.

Great Flight

Greetings ,
Got my first piper flight training today . Got a short brief from my Chief Flying Instructor Captain Htun . Before entering the cockpit, he signed the authorization sheet as usual .

Capt Htun had logged more than 10,000 flying hours and used to be Air Force Pilot instructor at Myanmar . He's one of the very experience pilot at his country. So , let's go through the pre-flight inspection he said . Comparison between piper and eagle , piper have more task to do with it checklist. After all clearance are given we took off runway 08 .

It's a nice aircraft, more stable . we requested 3000ft and below to practice general handling .
medium turn, steep turn, climb&descend, climbing turn&descending turn. Just to practice and get the sense of the aircraft. After these exercises, we headed back to the airfield for another 2 circuit and landing .

Unfortunately, traffic was a bit busy during that period . 2 outbound and 1 inbound. we expedite our final on runway 26 and took off again. (as i said, circuit and landing means "Touch and go") . ATC assigned us to make a right turn and make a holding at North of the airfield (downwind position) to release 2 departure aircraft. We had been hold for nearly 15 minutes, because 1 departure aircraft had delayed . Luckily ATC allowed us to join final (approach) after 1 traffic departure ..

During our approach , we having a light crosswind . Finally we landed and continue taxi to dispersal area for crew change . I'll show u some strong crosswind landing video which are made by those professional airliner pilots .

flying lesson starts again ^^

Greetings ... Tomorrow I'll be starts flying again, different aircraft that I've mention before in my first post. It's a PIPER WARRIOR PA28-161. This aircraft designed with a low wings (dihedral wing). The purpose of Dihedral Effect is to contribute to stability in the roll axis. It is an important factor in the stability of the spiral mode which is sometimes called "roll stability". It's a single piston engine which have a capability for 4 person on board, beside that it's certified for Instrument Flying .

I need to fly 103 hours on this aircraft before proceed to twin engine. sounds cool right? Today onward, i guess I'll be busy for my studies . morning flying , afternoon ground school , basketball evening and revision before bed . No matter how busy am i, I will still BLOGGING although my life is tired .

High-speed sex costly in Norway

A man faces a hefty fine and a driving ban after being caught having sex with his girlfriend while speeding on a motorway in Norway, police have said.

Officers initially trailed the couple's car after noticing it was swerving from side to side and travelling at 33km/h (20mph) over the road's speed limit.

But they soon realised the erratic driving was due to the woman "sitting on the man's lap", a spokesman said.

After filming the exploit for evidence, they pulled them over at a rest area.

The 28-year-old man's punishment will be decided within the next week, but police said he was likely to face a fine of several thousand Norwegian kroner and a lengthy driving ban.

"Why they did it on a highway with such a high risk we don't know," Tor Stein Hagen, a superintendent with Soendre Buskerud Police District, told the AFP news agency.

"[The vehicle] was veering from one side to the other because the woman was sitting on the man's lap while he was driving and doing the act, shall we say," he added.

"He couldn't see much because her back was in the way."

Despite her prominent role in the incident, the 21-year-old woman was permitted by police to drive her lover home.

Class Dismissed Again

Greetings ..
It was a boring day again . i guess lots of people hates Monday isn't ??? And so do I because the time is running slowly on Monday. But,what to do ? Take a deep breath ^.^ and ENJOY it.

SO, again Gurjeet informed me the class had dismiss because the meeting between IFAS staff and instructors are still in the conference room. Never mind , cases like this always happen in last minute. We have used to it :P

Luckily ground instructors gave us some assignment cos they know they couldn't make it to the class. After my dinner,i rush my assignment as soon as possible so that i can chatting with some "CHICK" in MSN Messenger. Sigh,i unable to fully concentrate my revision... i guess i really need a table lamp cos it's too dark. Even a 6 years old KIDDO knows that reading boks in the darkness will damage your eye !

sorry ... no picture for today ..

Thai soldiers have opened fire on a crowd of anti-government protesters in the centre of the capital, Bangkok, who fled before the bullets.

A BBC correspondent witnessed the lunchtime attack which came after a night of tension as troops cleared demonstrators blocking a road junction.

At least 70 people were injured in the earlier violence close to the landmark Victory Monument.

Tear gas and bullets were fired as stones and petrol bombs were thrown.

The military suddenly moved forward with a water cannon and a bus was set on fire, the BBC's Alastair Leithead reports.

Then the troops suddenly charged, opening fire with live rounds in the direction of the protesters.

Monday is the start of a three-day holiday for the Thai New Year and many people have already left the capital for the provinces.

Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva earlier declared a state of emergency after the protesters, who mostly back ousted PM Thaksin Shinawatra, stopped a major Asian summit in Pattaya.

A leader of the pro-Thaksin party, the United Front for Democracy, accused the army of using excessive force against the protesters.

"We will stand firm indefinitely," Jakrapob Penkair told BBC World Service.

'Hundreds of rounds'

Witnesses told the Associated Press news agency that troops had advanced against the protesters at the the Din Daeng intersection between 0400 and 0500 (2100 and 2200 GMT Sunday).

"The soldiers fired hundreds of rounds from their M-16 automatic rifles as they advanced, though it was unclear whether they were firing at, or over, the protesters," the agency says.

A Bangkok hospital doctor told the BBC News website that 74 people had been brought into hospital, most of them suffering abrasions but some with gunshot wounds.

An army spokesman, Col Sunsern Kaewkumnerd, said about 400 soldiers had moved against some 300 protesters.

He accused protesters of driving a car at the soldiers and said troops had first fired into the air in response to tear gas and smoke bombs thrown at them by protesters.

The soldiers then fired live rounds, he said.

"We will start with soft measures and proceed to harder ones," the army spokesman told AFP news agency.

"We will avoid loss of life as instructed by the government."

Call for calm

Earlier on Sunday, protesters broke into the interior ministry and at one point attacked a car they thought was carrying Prime Minister Abhisit. He was not inside.

They blocked a number of busy road junctions and at least one railway, and took over buses and two armoured vehicles.

The collapse of the summit was a huge embarrassment to Mr Abhisit Vejjajiva and he has vowed to restore order, says the BBC's Jonathan Head in Bangkok.

He appeared on TV just before midnight, called on the public not to panic and to co-operate to end the crisis.

"In the next three to four days, the government will keep working to return peace and order to the country," he said.

The camera panned to the commanders of the army, navy, air force and deputy police chief as he said:

"I can confirm that the government and security agencies are still unified."

'Time for revolution'

Mr Thaksin, who addresses his supporters by telephone from self-imposed exile abroad, called for a "revolution" on Sunday.
"Now that they have tanks on the streets, it is time for the people to come out in revolution," he said in a message shown on giant screens near the prime minister's office.

"And when it is necessary, I will come back to the country."

Under the state of emergency, gatherings of more than five people can be banned, media reports can be censored and the army can be deployed to help police maintain order.

Last year, the government imposed a state of emergency on several occasions but the army refused to enact the measures.

That crisis eventually led to Mr Abhisit's government taking over from allies of Mr Thaksin.

Our correspondent in Bangkok says the problem for Mr Abhisit is that he rode to power on the back of protests that were just as illegal, and may look hypocritical if he only goes after the red-shirted protesters who embarrassed him.

Formula 1 safety car ..

Greetings ...
Anyone of u watch F1 racing ? Some of my friend asked Why silver Mercedes Benz with yellow flashing lights deploy during the race .Well it simple for a dramatic expression of the relative performance of Formula One cars and road cars you need to look no further than the familiar, silver forms of the safety car that features at every Grand Prix.

The safety car is very important to ensuring the spectacle of a Formula One race does not suffer from undue disruption, as its use allows the race to continue even after a major accident, or other incident serious enough to require the presence of marshals on the track. This obviously cannot be allowed to happen with cars running at full speed - or even under the caution of yellow flags (as a driver may fail to observe them). Instead the safety car is deployed and the pack 'forms up' behind it - running in formation - until the obstacle or other problem has been cleared away.

It sounds easy. Yet even some of the very fastest road cars in the world, driven flat-out, are barely capable of maintaining a comfortable pace for Formula One cars (which lose tyre temperature and can even suffer from engine overheating during slow running). Since 1996 Mercedes-Benz has supplied Formula One safety cars to all rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship, and the 2009 model is an SL 63 AMG. It has been modified to reduce its weight and improve braking response - but even with 386 kW (525 bhp) output from its V8 engine, that's still only around two-thirds of the power of a current Formula One car (combined with around three times the mass.)

Hence the very real importance of the man in the driving seat. Bernd Maylander is an experienced racer who has driven in the tough German Touring Car (DTM) championship, and who has been charged with the responsibility of piloting the Formula One safety car since 2000. His experience and ability to drive up to the car's high limits ensure that - although lap times increase dramatically during safety car running - speeds are still high enough to allow the race cars to function correctly.

As with the medical response car, the safety car is on standby throughout a Grand Prix, ready to be dispatched by Race Control at a moment's notice. State-of-the-art radio and video equipment enable communication to be maintained at all times. When the Race Director decides to deploy the safety car it will join the track immediately and from that point no car may enter the pitlane and no overtaking is allowed. The safety car will then allow cars to pass it until the race leader is immediately behind it. When signalled to do so, any lapped cars in among the leading pack may then unlap themselves, pass the safety car and proceed around the circuit to retake their positions at the back of the field. Once the correct race order has been restored, the pitlane will reopen. Throughout the process, a 'Safety Car' board is also displayed to drivers as they cross the start-finish line, and the information will also be relayed over radios from the pitlane.

When the Race Director orders the safety car to leave the track again, a similarly exact procedure is followed. At the start of its final lap the safety car will turn off its orange flashing lights. Competitors must still remain behind in formation, but they know that at the beginning of the next lap they will be racing again. The safety car will pull off into the pits at the end of the lap and - as they cross the line - the competitors restart their battle.

My 1st post

Hello Guys ..
This Is It !!! I've Starts my own blog .Okay , I'll Skip Those INTRO words . I've been starting my course at International Flying Academy Sabah (IFAS) since June of 2008 . It's Takes about 30 - 35 weeks for us to finish our Private Pilot Licents . I'd Wasted about 3 Months compare with other flying schools process . And now we have to put more afford on our ground school subject in order to catch back the time wasted back on the early stages.

i've only flown 42hours Eagle 150-b at this stage mostly based on Visual Flight Rules (VFR). But still ............ Finally , me and my batch mate had complete our PPL licent which is issued by DCA . Sounds happy huh ?? My nightmare had just started after this .

Guess what ? my stress scale will be increase cos I'm proceeding to more advance training ? WRONG !!!!! i have to pay RM163,200 to continue my course . with this money i can buy so called SUBARU or RX8 or SUBARU .. The amount above does not included accomodation and meals !! RM5400 for every 3 months which means the longer i staying here the more i need to pay !! gosh ! where can i find that hug amount of money ??

Woops ... it's time to sleep. 3 AM ..
